A, B, C started a business in which investment is such that A contributes Rs. 32,000 for 4 months, B contributes Rs. 51,000 for 3 months and C contributes Rs. 27,000 for 5 months. If the total profit be Rs. 12,480 then A’s share in the profit is? Correct Answer Rs. 3840
Since profit is divided in the ratio of investment × time
Ratio of profit for A : B : C = 32000 × 4 : 51000 × 3 : 27000 × 5 = 128 : 153 : 135 = Rs. 12480 = Total profit
⇒ A’s share in total profit = 12480/(128 + 153 + 135) × 128 = (12480/416) × 128 = 30 × 128 = Rs. 3840
