Let number of 500rs note = x

⇒ number of 200rs notes = 3x

⇒ Total number of notes = 160

⇒number of 100rs note = 160 - (x + 3x) = 160 - 4x

⇒ 500(x) + 200(3x) + 100(160 - 4x) = 30000

⇒ 500x + 600x + 16000 - 400x = 30000

⇒ 1100x - 400x + 16000 = 30000

⇒ 700x + 16000 = 30000

⇒ 700x = 30000 - 16000

⇒ x = 20

⇒ number of Rs. 500 notes = 20

⇒ number of Rs. 200 notes = 3x = 3(20) = 60

⇒ number of Rs. 100 notes = 160 - (20 + 60) = 80

∴ required ratio = 80 : 60 : 20 = 8 : 6 : 2
