P, Q and R enter into partnership. P invests some money at the beginning. Q invests triple the amount what P invested in the beginning after 6 months and R invests half the amount what P invested in the beginning after 8 months. If the annual profit be Rs. 48,000, what is Q’s share? Correct Answer Rs. 27,000

Let the amount invested by P be x

⇒ Q’s amount after 6 months = 3x

⇒ R’s amount after 8 months = x/2

⇒ Ratio of investment = 12x : (6 × 3x) : (4 × 0.5x) = 6 : 9 : 1

∴ Q’s share = (9/16) × 48000 = Rs. 27000
