A journey of 12 km is done by cycling and walking. If Suresh walks for 5 km in 150 min and total journey time is 4 hr. What is the speed of cycling? Correct Answer 4.67 km/hr

Total distance need to cover = 12 km

Distance covered by walking = 5 km

Time taken in walking = 150 min

Total journey time = 4 hr = 4 × 60 = 240 min

Cycling time = 240 - 150 = 90 min = 90/60 = 1.5 hr

Distance need to cover by cycle = 12 - 5 = 7 km

∴ Speed of the cycling = 7/1.5 = 4.67 km/hr.
