Six years back, Neha’s eldest brother’s age was seven times as old as Neha was at that time.

ASSUMPTION :

Suppose present age of Neha = x

Then, present age of Neha’s eldest brother’s age = 3x

Six years ago,

Neha’s eldest brother’s age = 7 × Neha’s age

CALCULATION :

⇒ 3x – 6 = 7 (x – 6)

⇒ 3x – 6 = 7x - 42

⇒ 3x – 7x = - 42 + 6

⇒ - 4x = -36

⇒ x = 9 years

Neha’s present age is 9 years

∴ Neha’s Eldest brother’s present age = 3x = 3 × 9 = 27 years
