Three fruit sellers Ankit, Anuj and Ajeet have different quantities of fruits to sell. Ankit and Anuj together have fifteen more than half of quantity what Ankit and Ajeet together have. Anuj’s quantity is one-fifth of the double of Ajeet’s quantity. Also, Ankit has one-third of what Ajeet has. Find the quantity that Anuj has. Correct Answer 90

GIVEN:

Ankit + Anuj = 15 + (Ankit + Ajeet)/2

Anuj = 2/5 × Ajeet

Ankit = Ajeet/3

CALCULATION:

Ankit + Anuj = 15 + ((Ankit + Ajeet))/2

2 × Ankit + 2 × Anuj = 30 + Ankit + Ajeet

Ankit + 2 × Anuj = 30 + Ajeet

Also given, Anuj = 2/5 Ajeet

So, Ankit + 4/5 Ajeet = 30 + Ajeet

Ankit = 30 + Ajeet /5

Now, Ankit = Ajeet /3

Ajeet/3 = 30 + Ajeet /5

2/15 AJEET = 30

Ajeet = 225

Ankit = 225/3 = 75

Anuj= 2/5 × 225 = 90
