Given:
Volume of cone = 15400 cm3
Height of cone = 12 cm
Rate of painting = Rs. 15 per cm
Formula used:
Volume of cone = 1/3 πr2h
Calculation:
Let the radius of the cone be r cm
Volume of cone = (1/3) × (22/7) × r2 × 12
⇒ 15400 = (1/3) × (22/7) × r2 × 12
⇒ r2 = 1225
⇒ r = 35 cm
Slant height of cone = √(352 + 122) = 37 cm
Curved surface area of cone = (22/7) × 35 × 37 = 4070 cm2
∴ Total cost of painting = 4070 × 15 = Rs. 61050
