The ratio of number of cows and chicken in a zoo A of 720 animals is 7 : 5. The ratio of number of cows and chicken in a zoo B of 490 animals is 4 : 3 . Some more chickens should be added to both the zoos to make the ratio 1 : 1 of each zoo, then what is the average of total number of animals added?

The ratio of number of cows and chicken in a zoo A of 720 animals is 7 : 5. The ratio of number of cows and chicken in a zoo B of 490 animals is 4 : 3 . Some more chickens should be added to both the zoos to make the ratio 1 : 1 of each zoo, then what is the average of total number of animals added? Correct Answer 95

GIVEN:

Zoo A animals = 720

Zoo A Ratio of cow and chicken = 7 : 5

Zoo B animals = 490

Zoo A Ratio of cow and chicken = 4 : 3

CALCULATION:

For Zoo A,

⇒ Number of cow = 720 × (7/12) = 420

⇒ Number of chicken = (720 - 420) = 300
⇒ Number of chicken to be added = (420 - 300) = 120.

For Zoo B,

⇒ Number of cow = 490 × (4/7) = 280

⇒ Number of chicken = (490 - 280) = 210
⇒ Number of chicken to be added = (280 - 210) = 70.

∴ The average of total number of animals (added) = (120 + 70)/2 = 95
