A and B started a business with an agreement that the profit will be shared in 2 : 5 ratio among them. After some time C invested in the business and according to the new agreement, C gets one-third of the total profit, and the remaining amount is shared between A and B according to old agreement. What will be ratio of new profit share among them? Correct Answer 4 : 10 : 7

FORMULA:

Profit Share ratio = Investment Amount × Investment Time

CALCULATION:

Let the total profit amount be Rs. P

⇒ C get = P/3

⇒ Remaining profit amount = P – P/3 = 2P/3

Profit of A = (2P/3) × (2/7) = 4P/21

Profit of B = (2P/3) × (5/7) = 10P/21

∴ Ratio of profit share of A, B and C = (4P/21) : (10P/21) : (P/3)

= 4 : 10 : 7
