Tiotropium is indicated for the long-term, once-daily, maintenance treatment of bronchospasm associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
Adults and adolescents 12 years and older: The recommended dosage of Tiotropium bromide is the inhalation of 2 puffs once daily.
High doses of Tiotropium may lead to anticholinergic signs and symptoms. Acute intoxication by inadvertent oral ingestion of Tiotropium Bromide unlikely since it is not well-absorbed systemically.
