জেন্টিন খাওয়ার নিয়ম কি?

• জেন্টামাইসিন ইঞ্জেকশন সাধারণত মাংসপেশীতে দেওয়া হয়। কিন্তু প্রয়ােজনবােধে শিরা পথে প্রয়ােগ করা যেতে পারে। 
• যে সমস্ত রােগীর বৃক্ক স্বাভাবিক : দৈনিক ২-৫ মি.গ্রা. প্রতি কেজি দেহ ওজনে প্রতি ৮ ঘণ্টা অন্তর বিভক্ত মাত্রায়। 
• যে সমস্ত রােগীর বৃক্কের কাজে অস্বাভাবিকতা আছে সেক্ষেত্রে উক্ত মাত্রা ১২ ঘণ্টা পর পর দিতে হবে যখন ক্রিয়াটিনিন নির্গমণের হার প্রতি মিনিটে ৫-১০ মি.লি. এর জন্য ৪৮ ঘণ্টা পর পর এবং প্রতি মিনিটে ৫ মি.লি. এর কম হলে ডায়ালাইসিসের ৩-৪ দিন পর পর প্রয়ােগ করা যেতে পারে অথবা চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী প্রয়ােগ করা যেতে পারে। 
• শিশু (২ সপ্তাহ পর্যন্ত) : প্রতি ১২ ঘণ্টায় ৩ মি.গ্রা. প্রতি কেজি দেহ ওজনে। 
• ২ সপ্তাহ-১২ বৎসর : প্রতি ৮ ঘণ্টায় ২ মি.গ্রা. প্রতি কেজি দেহ ওজনে অথবা চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী ব্যবহার্য।

The intravenous administration of Gentamicin may be particularly useful for treating patients with bacterial septicemia or those in shock. It may also be the preferred route of administration for some patients with congestive heart failure, hematologic disorders, severe burns or those with reduced muscle mass.

Administration Procedure:

• Check infusion set and infusion solution prior to use.
• Pull moderately to tear off the protective cover of the Eurohead of the bottle.
• Close the roller clamp of the giving set.
• Remove the cover of plastic lancet.
• Punch the lancet into the container.
• Hang the bottle upside down.
• Open the roller clamp to take out the solution in order to expel air.
• Close the roller clamp firmly.
• Remove the protective cover of the needle.
• Locate the venipuncture site and clean the site with an antiseptic solution.
• Puncture the vein-needle into the patient’s vein.
• Securely tape the puncture site.
• Securely tape the wings and tubing.
• Start infusion while adjusting flow rate by loosening the roller clamp.
