How to Sync Google Calendar with Outlook
If you want greater control over how your Google Calendar integrates with Outlook, you can sync your accounts manually. With a manual sync, events added on either platform will be visible on the other. Syncing Google Calendar with Outlook can be done in a few easy steps.
Instructions
- Open Outlook and select the File tab.
- In the left column, select Account Settings and then Account Settings again.
- Select New and then Add a connected account at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter your Gmail address in the box, and select Connect.
- A POP-UP window will appear. Select the boxes for the items you wish to sync with Outlook, and choose Allow.
- Google Calendar will now appear in the left-hand column of your Outlook calendar. To sync calendar items, click the ‘Sync’ folder at the bottom of outlook.
- Wait for the syncing process to finish, and both your Outlook and Google calendars should be updated and active.

To sync your Outlook and Google Calendar, you’ll need to perform the following steps:
- Open Outlook
- Navigate to the File tab
- Click the Account Settings tab and select Account Settings
- On the Account Settings tab, select the Internet Calendars tab
- Choose “New” and enter the address of your Google Calendar (the address will be in the format of “https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/[calendar ID]/private-[unique ID]/basic.ics”)
- Click OK and select the new calendar to enable synchronization
- Click the OK button to confirm the changes and save the new setup
Now, changes made to either your Outlook or Google Calendar will sync between the two. You’ll always have your most up-to-date schedule at your fingertips!
