How to Clean Top and Bottom-Loading Water Coolers
Cleaning the Exterior
- Unplug the water cooler and remove any bottled water that may be present.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid all-purpose cleaner in 1 gallon of warm water.
- Dampen a cloth or sponge in the cleaning solution.
- Wipe down the exterior of the cooler, paying particular attention to sticky residue.
- Rinse the cooler off with a wet and clean cloth.
- Dry the exterior of the cooler with a clean cloth.
Cleaning the Interior
- Use a soft cloth to clean the interior surfaces of the water cooler.
- If needed, use a soft sponge with warm water and a little dishwashing detergent.
- Rinse away the soap and the dirt with a clean cloth and plenty of cold water.
- Open and close the top of the water cooler a few times to make sure it closes properly.
- Inspect the spigot when it's closed to make sure it is connected securely.
