2. Consider a virtual phone service. As an alternative to using a temporary phone number, you may want to consider a virtual phone service. Services such as Skype offer virtual phone numbers you can use for the verification process.
3. Use a burner phone. For a reliable, long-term solution, try using a burner phone. These phones are throwaway, prepaid phones you can buy at any electronics store. Use this phone to verify your Gmail account.
4. Choose to authenticate via text message. When given the option, choose to “Verify using text message.” This will send an access code to the disposable phone that you can use for verification.
5. Wait up to 3 days. If you don’t have access to a temporary or virtual phone number, you can choose to wait up to 3 days. After this time, the verification process will become available again.
