How to remove nail polish from acrylic nails without the nails coming off
Acrylic nails are an great way to add a stylish and colorful flair to your look. But when the time comes for a quick change of color, it's important to know how to remove your existing nail polish without losing the acrylic nails. Here's how you can get your nails looking fresh and vibrant without losing your acrylic set.
Steps:
- Gather your supplies. Before you begin, make sure you have all the supplies needed to safely and effectively remove your nail polish. We recommend gathering some cotton balls, nail polish remover, an orangewood stick, a nail file, and a nail buffer.
- Soak cotton balls in nail polish remover. Drop a few cotton balls into a bowl or cup filled with nail polish remover and let them soak for a few minutes.
- Place a soaked cotton ball on your nail. Take one of the soaked cotton balls and press it underneath the edge of your acrylic nail. Secure it in place using the orangewood stick.
- Keep the cotton in place for 5 minutes. Leave the cotton ball on your nail for 5 minutes to give the polish remover some time to do its job.
- Carefully remove the cotton ball. Take the orangewood stick and gently pull the cotton ball away from your nail.
- Buff the surface of the nail. With the nail file, gently buff the surface of the nail to remove any residual nail polish.
- Shine the nail. To give your nails an extra layer of sheen and protection, buff the surface of the nail once more using the nail buffer.
- Repeat steps 3-7 for each nail. Once you've finished with one nail, repeat the steps until you've finished all 10 nails.
And that's it! Your acrylic nails should now be looking nice and shiny. If you followed the steps correctly, you should have successfully removed your nail polish without the nails coming off.
