To find: mass (m), distance travelled (s)
Formulae:
i. F = ma
ii. s = ut + \(\frac{1}{2}\)at2
Calculation:
From formula (i),
∴ m = \(\frac{F}{a}=\frac{800}{5}\) = 160 kg
From formula (ii),
s = \(\frac{1}{2}\) × 5 × (10)2 [∵ u = 0]
∴ s = 250 m
Mass of the body is 160 kg and the distance travelled by the body is 250 m.
