Given = length = 160 m, breadth = 120m
(i) The Perimeter of the field = 2 (l + b)
= 2 (160 m + 120 m)
= 2 x 280
= 560 m
(ii) The length of fence required to enclose the field = The perimeter of the rectangular field
= 560 m
(iii) The cost of fencing the field = Length of fence x Rate of fence
= 560 m x Rs 80 per metre
= Rs 44, 800
