Write two major functions each of testis and ovary.

Functions of the Testis

• They produce male gametes called spermatozoa by the process of spermatogenesis.
• The leydig cells of the seminiferous tubules secrete the male sex hormone called testosterone.
• Testosterone aids the development of secondary sex characteristics in males

Functions of the ovary

• They produce female gametes called ova by the process of oogenesis.
• The growing Graffian follicles secrete the female sex hormone called estrogen. 
• Estrogen aids the development of secondary sex characteristics in females.

The two major functions of ovary are:-

(i) Ovary is a female gonea

(ii) It produces female sex cells called ova and the femals sex harmones estrogen

The two major functions of testies are:-

(i) Testies is the male gonads

(ii) It produce sperm and granular cells which produce sex hormone test osterone

Testis- It produces spermatozoa and secretes the male sex harmone, testosterrone.

Ovary- It produces ova and secretes the female sex harmones estrogrn and progresterone.

Testis :

• Formation of sperms
• Secretion of hormone testosterone.

Ovary : 

• Formation of ova 
• Secretion of hormone oestrogen and progesterone.
