The Mississippi Alluvial Plain is a Level III ecoregion designated by the Environmental Protection Agency in seven U.S. states, though predominantly in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. It parallels the Mississippi River from the Midwestern United States to the Gulf of Mexico.
