Option 1 : Only A
Agriculture labourers are engaged in non-agricultural activities.
Agriculture labourer can be defined as the involvement of any person in connection with cultivating the soil or in connection with raising or harvesting any agricultural or horticultural commodity, management of livestock, bees, poultry etc.
- Nearly two-fifth of all rural families are agricultural labourers in our country.
- Not being able to earn money throughout the year forces people in many rural areas to travel long distances in search of work.
- Small farmers - Farmers having less than two hectares (five acres) of land are called small farmers and those having less than one hectare (2.5 acres) are called marginal farmers.
- Big Farmers- Farmers owning more than 5 acres of land under farming or agricultural land are usually large farmers. (Various subsidies are given to farmers owning less than 5 acres of land).
Hence we can say that Agriculture labourers are engaged in non-agricultural activities.
