Evidence is proof that a piece of information is true. While referring to the information regarding wages in rural India, we need authentic data and figures as evidence. This data can be obtained through primary or secondary sources.

Referring to nation- wide surveys conducted by the government is the best and most authentic source to find out about the wages in rural India.
Conducting a survey of households in a few sample villages will help us collect the real data through primary data collection. Hence, this can be used as evidence of the wages in rural India.
Talking to a few neighborhood farming households will not give us information about wages as farming households are involved in their own farms rather than working for an employer.
Talking to a few agricultural laborer households are also involved in the farms and do not serve our purpose.

Thus, it is concluded that statements A and B would be required as evidence to make an argument that wages in rural India have fallen.

Evidence for obtaining any information can be obtained through two sources :

A) Primary data

It is the first-hand information collected by the investigator.

The investigator is present at the site during the incidence and collects the information.
