Option 3 : Area and Perimeter 

A geoboard is a mathematical manipulative used to explore basic concepts in plane geometry such as perimeter, area, and the characteristics of triangles and other polygons. It consists of a physical board with a certain number of nails half driven in, around which are wrapped geo bands that are made of rubber. 

• A geoboard has many nails attached to apply to the board.
• A rubber band or a thread can be used to build different shapes by rotating the thread or rubber around the nails.
• Many shapes like squares, rectangles, and triangles can be formed by using a geoboard.
• Here the students should themselves be given chance to form the shapes which they know using the geoboard.
• Once they form the shapes they can get familiarized with the various concepts related to the shapes like perimeter and area.
• Hence the concepts of perimeter and area can be taught by using geoboards.

• On the other hand, the other concepts like volume, tessellations, and symmetry cannot be taught using a geoboard because it is just a plane board with nails attached to it. A container that may be filled with liquid can be a good tool for teaching volume.
