EXPLANATION:-.

  • Transition milk:- Transitional milk is high-protein breast milk that a woman produces about 3 to 6 days after her baby is born, colostrum is replaced by transition milk.
  • milk slowly becomes bluish white color.

 

  • Colostrum :- The secretion from the breasts is called colostrum, which starts during pregnancy and becomes more abundant during the period.
  • It is a deep yellow serous fluid, alkaline in reaction. It has got a higher specific gravity; a high protein, vitamin A, sodium and chloride content but has got lower carbohydrate, fat and potassium than the breast milk.
  • Foremilk:- Foremilk is the milk that your baby drinks at the beginning of a feeding, and hindmilk follows it.
  • Hind milk:-  As the baby begins to pull milk from deeper within the breast where the fatty milk cells are stored. This milk, which is more fat-filled than the earlier milk, is called the hindmilk. The calorie-rich hind milk is obtained at the end part of the suckling. Hind milk is richer in fat and supplies more calories and satiety to the infant.
