Option 3 : LC

Given:

⇒ LXIII, XCII, LC, XLIV

Concept used:

Use roman number symbol,

⇒ L = 50

⇒ I = 1

⇒ X = 10

⇒ V = 5

Calculation:

First take LXIII

It may written as LXIII = 50 + 10 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 63

In XCII, XC means 100 - 10 = 90

⇒ XCII = 100 - 10 + 1 + 1 = 92

⇒ XLIV = 100 - 10 + 5 -1 = 94

In LC, we cannot write it as,

Because we can subtract the closest number on the left only

Like I, X , L , C , M

⇒ IX = 9

⇒ XC = 90

⇒ CM = 900

The subtract number cannot be less than 1 / 10th of the greater number.

∴ we cannot write LC.

∴ Option 3 is correct.
