In case of the same number on both the dices, we can consider the other numbers from either the clockwise direction or anti-clockwise direction, to find the numbers that are opposite to each other.
In this case, 1 is common in both the dices, so considering the numbers in the clockwise direction from 1, we get the numbers as,
1 – 2 – 4 in the first dice, and
1 – 3 – 6 in the second dice.
Now comparing both the dice we find that, 2 is opposite to 3, 4 is opposite to 6.
Here, we are asked to find the number opposite to 2, so 3 will be opposite to 2.
Hence, 3 is opposite to 2.
