Option 3 : Lead

For the very first time, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN has injected and accelerated lead ‘atoms’. Previously, the LHC had accelerated only protons and the nuclei of atoms. The process was done to test out a new CERN concept called the Gamma Factory. With this new advancement, scientists could be able to make 'exotic' particles like dark matter or a muon (heavy electron) beam.
