In triangle AOP,

(AO)² = (AP)² + (OP)²

⇒ (AO)² = (3)² + (4)² = 9 + 16 = 25

⇒ AO = 5 cm = radius

∴ Area of the circle = πr² = 22/7 × 5 × 5 = 550/7 = 78.5 cm²
