Exclusive class interval: The upper limit of one class is the same as

the lower limit of the next class.

Inclusive class interval: The upper-class limit of one class does not

get repeated in the lower limit of the succeeding class.

Calculation:

Statement: 1 The classes of type 15-19, 20-24, 25-29 etc. are

exclusive classes.

Upper limit = 19 and lower limit of next class = 20 ≠ 19

Hence, Statement 1 is not correct.

Statement: 2 The classes of type 15-20, 20-25, 25-30 etc. are inclusive classes.

Upper limit = 20 and lower limit of next class = 20 (repeated)

Hence, statement 2 is also not correct.

∴ Neither 1 nor 2 is correct.
