Option 3 : Either statement II or statement III and statement I together are sufficient to answer the question.
Statement II∶
The lion, dog and fox cover distances of 4 m, 12 m, and 3 m respectively in 1 jump.
Statement III∶
Given that the distance covered by the dog in 5 jumps, distance covered by the lion in 15 jumps and distance covered by fox in 20 jumps are equal;
Suppose the distance covered by all three is 60 m (LCM of 5, 15 and 20)
∴ Distance covered by lion in one jump = 60/15 = 4 m
Distance covered by dog in 1 jump = 60/5 = 12 m
Distance covered by fox in 1 jump = 60/20 = 3 m
Here, we can see that statement II and III give the same information.
∴ Combining either statement II or III with the statement I, we can get the answer.
∴ Either statement II or statement III and statement I together are sufficient to answer the question
