There is a clerk, a PO and a Manager in a bank. They can complete a piece of work in 15, 12 and 10 days receptively. They completed the work in some days, in which PO worked for all the day while Clerk and Manager each accompanied him for half the time. Find the wage of Clerk out of Rs. 50000.?

Option 2 : Rs. 10000

Suppose total work = 60 units (LCM of 15, 12 and 10)

∴ Efficiency of Clerk = 60/15 = 4

Efficiency of PO = 60/12 = 5

Efficiency of Manager = 60/10 = 6

Since PO worked for all the day while Clerk and Manager each accompanied him for half the time;

∴ Ratio of wages sharing = 4 : 10 : 6

∴ Share of wages of clerk = 4/20 × 50000 = Rs. 10000
