A is 4 times as productive as C and B is half as productive as A;
∴ Ratio of efficiencies of A, B and C = 4 : 2 : 1
Since B left 15 days and thus the work got delayed by 2 days;
Suppose the work would have completed in ‘x’ days, if B had not left;
∴ {(4 + 2 + 1) × 15} + {(4 + 1) × (x – 15 + 2)} = {(4 + 2 + 1) × x}
⇒ 105 + 5x – 65 = 7x
⇒ 2x = 40
⇒ x = 20
∴ The work got competed in 22 days (= 20 + 2)
