- The environment can be distinguished into two types:
- Biotic environment: consists of living factors in the environment
- Abiotic environment: consists of non-living factors in the environment
- Plants, animals, decomposers are the living factors which are included in the biotic environment.
- Water is a non-living factor hence it is included in the abiotic environment.
