Option 1 : Autosomes
- Autosomes are the chromosomes which are responsible for characters other than the sex chromosomes. They contain the hereditary information and are identical in both male and female.
- Allosomes or heterosomes are the sex chromosomes.
- Metacentric chromosomes are those which have their centromere located centrally between the two arms of the chromosome.
- Telocentric or monarchial chromosomes are those which have their centromere located at the end of the chromosome.
