Root hair cells |
The function of root hairs is to collect water and mineral nutrients present in the soil and take this solution up through the roots to the rest of the plant. As root hair cells do not carry out Photosynthesis they do not contain chloroplasts. There are 5 organelles found in a root hair cell. They are the: nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, cell wall, and vacuole. |

Red blood cells |
Red blood cells are made in the bone marrow. It also removes carbon dioxide from your body, transporting it to the lungs for you to exhale. The nucleus is not present. |

Platelets |
Platelets are tiny blood cells that help your body form clots to stop bleeding. If one of your blood vessels gets damaged, it sends out signals that are picked up by platelets. The platelets then rush to the site of damage and form a plug, or clot, to repair the damage. Platelets have no cell nucleus. |
