Option 1 : Both statements are required

Statements: I.

C likes pink colour and has 10 kites. B who is friend of C likes Black colour and has number of kites which is multiple of 3 → not sufficient as no information about kites of A is given.

Statements II.

F has 9 kites and likes white colour. A has kites 2 less than number of kites C has → not sufficient as information about kites of C is not known.

On combining both statements →

C has 10 kites. (from statement 1)

A has kites 2 less than kites of C. (from statement 2)

This Implies, A has (10 – 2) kites = 8 kites

Hence, both statements are required to give the required answer.
