Option 3 : None follows.
A course of action is something that needs to be done considering the present scenario in mind. From the statement, it is evident that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and several key members of his Cabinet went into self-quarantine more as a precautionary measure since they have come into contact with SARS-CoV-2 positive patients. They need not be affected by the virus themselves. Thus, the course of action must also be in the same direction, to strengthen the flow of ideas.
Course of action I is too extreme as Mr. Vijayan has not yet tested positive for the Virus. He can work from his official residence in self-isolation until his test results are out. So, Course of action I does not follow.
Course of action II assumes a larger set “Government Departments and its employees” which is nowhere mentioned in the passage. Just because some government servants came into contact with SARS-CoV-2 positive patients, the whole government machinery need not be sanitized and asked to work from home. So, Course of action II does not follow.
Course of action III is also too extreme as Mr. Vijayan and his cabinet ministers have not yet tested positive for the Virus. Also, even if they test positive, it need not mean all their contacts need to be put under Institutional Quarantine. They can be put under home quarantine or any other appropriate mechanism also. So, Course of action III also does not follow.
Hence, none follow.
