GIVEN:

A can complete 3/4^th of work done by B in 5/6^th of the time taken by B to complete the whole work.

They can complete the whole work together in 10 days.

FORMULA USED:

Work = Time × Efficiency

CALCULATION:

Let A and B be the efficiencies of A and B respectively.

According to the question,

(A × 5/6)/(3/4) = (B × 1)/1

⇒ 10A = 9B

⇒ A : B = 9 : 10

They can complete the whole work together in 10 days.

So,

Total work = (9 + 10)x × 10 = 190x

Time taken by B alone to complete the work = 190x/10x = 19 days

∴ the correct answer is 19 days.
