Option 4 : 20.5 hours

GIVEN :

Speed of a boat in still water is 41 km/h and speed of the current is 9 km/h

Distance = 400 km (Each side)

FORMULA USED :
Upstream speed =

Downstream speed =

CALCULATION :

Upstream speed = 41 – 9 = 32 km/h

And

Downstream speed = 41 + 9 = 50 km/h

So,

Total time = 400/32 + 400/50

= 12.5 + 8

= 20.5 hours
