Option 1 : 34

Given:

L.C.M = 144

H.C.F = 2

Calculation:

L.C.M = 144

H.C.F = 2

Let consecutive even numbers be a and b

H.C.F = 2

So,

Numbers are 2a and 2b

⇒ L.C.M = 2ab

According to the question,

2ab = 144

⇒ ab = 72

Now,

We have to make form 2ab

Pair of 72 = 8, 9

⇒ 2 × 8 × 9 = 144

⇒ 2a = 2 × 8 = 16

⇒ 2b = 2 × 9 = 18

⇒ Sum of numbers = 16 + 18 = 34

∴ The sum of these two numbers is 34.
