Increased in the average weight of 12 players = 1/3 kg 

Formula used 

Average = Sum of Data/No. of Data 

Calculation 

Total increased weight = 1/3 × 12 = 4 kg

Weight of the previous player = 55 kg

So, weight of new player = 55 + 4 = 59 kg 

∴ The weight of the new player is 59 kg
