Mechanism of Action

Leukenib Tablet 100 mg works by blocking the activity of mutant proteins that are responsible for the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells. It inhibits the enzyme tyrosine kinase, which is responsible for stimulating cell growth by transferring phosphate groups to proteins. Absorption

All doses of Imatinib should be taken with a meal and a large glass of water. Doses of 400 mg or 600 mg should be administered once daily, whereas a dose of 800 mg should be administered as 400 mg twice a day. Imatinib can be dissolved in water or apple juice for patients having difficulty swallowing. Daily dosing of 800 mg and above should be accomplished using the 400-mg tablet to reduce exposure to iron.

The recommended dose of Leukenib Tablet 100 mg varies depending on the condition being treated. For adults with CML or Philadelphia chromosome-positive ALL, the usual dose ranges from 400mg to 600mg per day. For adults with GIST or myeloproliferative neoplasms, the recommended dose is 400mg per day. Dosage adjustment may be necessary for patients with renal impairment.
