Mechanism of Action

How Long Does it Take to Work?

Some patients may experience an improvement in their BPH symptoms within a few days of starting Flosin Capsule 4 mg. However, it can take up to 8 weeks to experience the full effects of Flosin Capsule 4 mg.

Absorption

Flosin Capsule 4 mg is rapidly and extensively absorbed following oral ingestion and approaches its peak concentrations within 0.5 to 2 hours.

Route of Elimination

Flosin Capsule 4 mg is primarily eliminated through the renal route and undergoes extensive metabolism via the cytochrome P450 enzyme system.

Dosage

The recommended dose is Silodosin 8 mg orally once daily with a meal. 4 mg capsules taken orally once daily with a meal for those with moderate renal impairment (CrCl 30-50 mL/min). The recommended adult dose of silodosin is 8 mg once daily. It is advised to take the medication at the same time each day, preferably with meals. The dose can be adjusted based on the patient’s response to therapy, up to a maximum of 16 mg once daily.

Side Effects
