Formula used:

Volume of cube = a3

Simple interest = (principle × rate × time)/100

Calculations:

Ram’s capital = 45 × (10)3

⇒ 45 × 1000 = 45,000

⇒ Rahul will pay Ram’s interest = (45000/2 × 10 × 1)/100 = 2250

⇒ Charges for managing the concern = 60 × 12 = 720

Let the yearly profit be = x

Ram’s capital = x/2

Rahul’s capital = x/2

According to question,

⇒ x/2 – 2250 + 720 = 1/2 (x/2 – 720 + 2250)

⇒ x/2 – 1530 = ½ (x/2 + 1530)

⇒ x/2 – 1530 = x/4 + 765

⇒ x/2 – x/4 = 765 + 1530

⇒ x/4 = 2295
