A is 20 percent more efficient than B, C is 60 percent more efficient than D, and B is 40 percent more efficient than D. They get a total wage of ₹ 227200. If all work for an equal time, what will be the share of C? Correct Answer ₹ 64000
Given:
The efficiency of A = 20% more efficiency of B
The efficiency of C = 60% more efficiency of D
The efficiency of B = 40% more efficiency of D
Total wages = ₹ 227200
Formula used:
Entire wages = Total number of days × Wages of 1 day of any person
Calculation:
The ratio of efficiency of A to B = 6 : 5,
The ratio of efficiency of C to D = 8 : 5
The ratio of efficiency of B to D = 7 : 5
After combining the ratio we get
The ratio of efficiency of A, B, C and D = 42 : 35 : 40 : 25
Share of C = 40 units
Total share = 42 + 35 + 40 + 25
⇒ 142 units
According to the question,
142 units = ₹ 227200
⇒ 1 unit = ₹ 1600
Share of C = 40 × 1600
⇒ ₹ 64000
∴ The share of C will be ₹ 64000.
