Then the clock will strike 5 times at 5 o’clock . Also, it is given that it takes 12 seconds to do so.

Now, we have to find out the time taken by it to strike at 10'o clock.

At 10 o’clock the clock will strike 10 times.

Then, the time taken by the clock to strike 10 times = 2 × time taken by the clock to strike 5 times.

Hence, the time taken by it to strike 10 times = 2 × 12 = 24 seconds

Hence, 24 seconds is the correct answer.
