In an examination. three friends Mohit, Ajay and Abhiuday got their results. Marks of Abhiuday is equal to the average marks obtained by  Mohit and Ajay. If marks of Abhiuday is 240 and marks obtained by Ajay is half that of Mohit. Calculate the marks obtained by Ajay is what percentage of the sum of marks obtained by all three of them? Correct Answer 22.22%

Marks of Abhiuday is equal to the average marks obtained by  Mohit and Ajay

∴ Marks obtained by Abhiuday = (Marks obtained by Mohit + Marks obtained by Ajay)/2

Marks of Abhiuday is 240 and marks obtained by Ajay is half that of Mohit

⇒ 240 × 2 = Marks of Mohit + (Marks of Mohit)/2

⇒ 480 × 2 = 3 × Marks of Mohit

⇒ Marks obtained by Mohit = 320

∴ Marks obtained byAjay = 320/2 = 160

Sum of Marks obtained by all three of them = 160 + 320 + 240 = 720

∴ Required percentage = (160/720) × 100 = 22.22%

∴ The marks obtained by Ajay is 22.22% of the sum of marks obtained by all three of them
