Three partners Himanshu, Prashant and Aditya started their business with Rs 70000, Rs 60000 and Rs 90000. After 3 months, Himanshu left the business, while Aditya also left the business after 9 months from starting. What would be the ratio of their profit after the end of year? Correct Answer 7 : 24 : 27

Given

Himanshu's capital = Rs 70000

Prashant capital = Rs 60000

Aditya capital = Rs 90000

Formula Used

Investment = capital × time

Investment ratio is directly proportional to Profit ratio

Calculation

⇒ Himanshu's investment for 3 months = 70000 × 3 = Rs 210000

⇒ Prashant's Investment for 12 months = 60000 × 12 = Rs 720000

⇒ Aditya's investment for 9 months = 90000 × 9 = Rs 810000

⇒ Investment Ratio = 210000 : 720000 : 810000 = 7 : 24 : 27

⇒ so, profit ratio = 7 : 24 : 27

∴ the ratio of their profit at the end of the year is 7 : 24 : 27
