The ratio of Geeta, Priya’s and Ram’s monthly income are 84:76:89. If Priya’s annual income is Rs. 4,56,000, what is the sum of Geeta’s and Ram’s annual incomes? (In some cases monthly income is used while in other annual income is used.) Correct Answer
Rs. 10,38,000

Given,

The ratio of Geeta's, Priya’s and Ram’s monthly income are 84 : 76 : 89. If Priya’s annual income is Rs. 4,56,000

Calculations:

The ratio of monthly income and ratio of annual income will be the same,

ie.84 : 76 : 89

Applying the rule of proportion, we get,

Priya's income in the ratio: Priya’s total income: Sum of Geeta's and Ram's income in the ratio: Sum of Geeta’s and Ram's income in value

⇒ 76 : 456000 :: (84 + 89) : x

⇒ Sum of Geeta's and Ram's annual income in value

⇒ 456000/76 × (84 + 89) = Rs. 1038000

∴ The required answer is Rs. 10,38,000
