Percentage of selected urban candidates of District B = 100% - 60% = 40%

⇒ No of selected urban candidates of District B = 40% of 25% of 68000

⇒ 40/100 × 25/100 × 68000 = 6800

Percentage of selected urban candidates of District D = 100% - 40% = 60%

⇒ No of selected urban candidates of District D = 60% of 18% of 68000

⇒ 7344

No of the selected urban candidates of District B (7344 - 6800) 544 less than that of District D.
