The income of A is 48% more than the income of B and the income of C is 25% less than the combined income of A and B. By what percent is the income of C more than the income of A? (Correct to one decimal place) Correct Answer 25.7%

Given:

The income of A is 48% more than the income of B

the income of C is 25% less than the combined income of A and B

Calculation:

Let the income of B be 100 unit

So, The income of A = 100 × 148%

⇒ The income of A = 148

Now, According to the question

Income of C = (100 + 148) × 75%

⇒ The income of C = 248 × 3/4 = 186

Now,

Income of C - Income of A = 186 - 148

⇒ Income of C - Income of A = 38

So, The required Percent = (38/148) × 100%

⇒ 25.675 ≈ 25.7

∴ The income of C is 25.7% more than that of A.
